Barrett-Bell Ltd (formerly Advanced Training Solutions) was first established in 2006.

The aim of Barrett-Bell is to provide a reliable and professorial service to help people gain valuable knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications that they may need to start or further their careers within the gas industry. We measure our success on the success of our learners and have a 94% achievement rate. As such ‘word of mouth’ is our main form of advertising. We currently operate and have training centres in Watford and Stevenage.

Barrett-Bell Ltd specialise in delivering a full and varied range of gas installation and maintenance courses which meet the industry requirements for Gas Safe Registration. As an established City & Guilds centre we offer the level 3 diploma in Domestic Gas Utilisation, Installation and Maintenance 6014-03 for new entrants in to the industry. As an accredited Blueflame Centre we operate the Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) for individual gas fitting operatives offering all of the elements necessary to work on domestic gas installations. We also offer Unvented Hot Water, Energy and Efficiency (Part L) and the water regulations. So whether you are new to the gas industry, experienced in the gas industry but with no recognised qualifications, or if you simply wish to renew or extend your scope, we offer training and assessment packages to suit all needs. We also operate as a Functional Skills Centre and pride ourselves on providing our learners with dedicated student support whenever it is needed.

As a recognised and preferred provider for FE colleges we work closely with them to provide good quality training programs that lead to employment. As such we work closely with Job Centre Plus in providing high quality industry-led qualifications for job seekers and measure ourselves on providing job seekers with the skills and qualifications that lead to employment. We pride ourselves on our strong links within the community and have built strong relationships with industry to gain work placements for our students and source perspective job opportunities.

Barrett-Bell Ltd was awarded the ‘Matrix Standard’ in September 2012 for providing good quality information, advice and guidance to all learners from initial contact through to employment.
