DES has provided a range for support for the new education service formed on April 1^st 2018. DES has provided support for the Borough’s Chair of Governors termly meeting and clerking services for some individual Schools. Feedback from the CoG’s has been very positive and the relationship between the Local Authority has strengthened. DES has been asked to work with the Borough on a range of additional activities, including providing expertise on interpreting parental feedback for the SEND department, undertaking SEND School audits, processes for collaboration between Schools and guidance through the different models of partnerships.
