Pre-16 and Post-16 Student Work Experience Programme

DES staff have been organising work experience placements for Keystage 4 and post-16 students for over 20 years, allocating around 1400 students per academic year.

Work experience is the most realistic way for young people to experience aspects of work related learning in a real world context that meets the requirements of inspection and provides students with a number of employability, work readiness and personal and social skills.

Currently, we provide a bespoke service to the majority of maintained, academy and faith secondary schools in Haringey and are extending provision into Islington.

Diamond Education Service (DES) provides bespoke placements that suit school requirements and our provision has included placements for special schools and PRUs as well as mainstream. Our excellent relationship with employers, in the private, public and voluntary sectors, means we can match schools and placements to achieve the best outcomes.
